August 22, 2009 Concession Clean Up | Concession Clean up and preparation went well. The school has replaced the roofs of both concession stands. Both concession stands were power washed and totally cleaned. The north building's ceiling was scrapped and painted. The cabinet that housed the sink was removed because of severe damage, and will be replaced. The south stand had electrical problems fixed and will have to have one of the swing up doors replaced. Some more painting will have to be done in the south. We would like to thank all that came out to help and look forward to more helping on the next scheduled work day.
There was a group,( don't even ask because as sure as I try I will forget someone who was there so I am not even going to attempt to list names - you know who you were), that came to get the Concession Stands clean and readied for the EAGLE Football Season. My greatest admiration is for those that willingly give their time to take on a task that sometimes even in our own homes, is delayed until absolutely necessary to do so. South was again sterilized and cleaned while North had the sink base and cabniet removed due to water and insect damage (another story). The ceiling in North was scraped, reprimed and painted and looks awesome. A second shift came back late on Saturday to replace all equipment in North after the painting was completed. The cooking pad and concrete around the concession area was pressure washed and all stuck gum was removed. The area looks clean and crisp too (can you say that about a Concession Stand?)
